GTD 40 MK1 “Essex Wire”
Essex Wire Company was a Detroit based Co. that produced wire for all sorts of applications, Ford being their biggest customer. They sponsored a very successful 427 Cobra and at least 2 GT40’s in sports car and endurance events.
This stunning GT40 by GTD is in memory of the GT40 P/1001 Essex Wire livery car that raced in the 1966 Lemans 24 Hour.
Built and correctly registered in 1991 this GT Developments car has covered 19167 miles since build
