The car was rebuilt on a new Heritage shell and fitted with genuine 'Works' hard top.
The engine has been the subject of a rebuild which included a reconditioned crank, steel H Beam con-rods, competition bearings, forged pistons. A duplex Vernier timing gear drives the BP320 camshaft.
The block was line bored and modified for MGC cam followers. The cylinder head is polished and ported. The Weber 45DCOE carburettor has a K & N filter mounted on an Oselli manifold. A competition distributor, big bore tubular manifold and skidded exhaust system, new oil cooler, hoses, radiator, oil catch tank, and oil pressure warning switch.
TRANSMISSION. The car has a three syncro close ratio gearbox with competition uprated overdrive, a balanced propshaft, 4.3 ratio Crown Wheel & Pinion with a Quaife L.S.D.
BRAKES AND SUSPENSION. Aeroquip braided hoses, 600lb front springs, competition rear springs, competition front shock absorbers, competition lever arm rear shock absorbers, uprated 7/8” anti-roll bar, all uprated bushes.
WHEELS AND TYRES. 5 1/2 J Minilite style wheels currently fitted with AVON ZZ tyres
INTERIOR SAFETY AND RALLY EQUIPMENT. The black interior is fitted with Rigard seats. A Safety Devices F.I.A. six point roll cage is welded to the sill panels. All brake, fuel, battery and wiring is run inside the body. The dashboard carries a rev counter, correctly calibrated speedo, pea lights, Avanti map light. There is a 3" aircraft stop clock, ammeter, full fuses & light relays. A plumbed fire extinguisher (Serviced 2020) is installed in the navigator’s foot well behind a foot brace. Interior and exterior switches for the fire extinguisher and battery cut out are fitted. Motolita steering wheel, gear lever overdrive switch, drivers foot rest and navigators horn switch.
The car has just been papered for Race, Rally & Hill Climb so can be used across all three formats.
Car is suitable for Equipe GTS, Equipe Libre, Swinging 60s and many more.
