The History
The Alfetta GT officially debuted in June 1974, in a not so favorable historical moment to launch sports cars, due to the energy crisis and the introduction of speed limits. In short, the general climate that reigned in those years heavily penalized especially those manufacturers which, like Alfa Romeo, had price lists all projected towards driving brilliance.
The history of the Alfetta GTV 2000 L (type 116.36A), however, begins in 1978 and on closer inspection, it was not a simple renaming. In fact, this new version was now fitted with the engine of the Alfetta 2000 L, with a declared power of 130 hp and easily reached 195 km per hour.
The passenger compartment could be enriched with leather upholstery and air conditioning as an option. The windscreen and rear window, equipped with gaskets, were fixed to the body in the traditional way and no longer glued.
The Alfetta GTV 2000 L was by far the most successful Alfetta coupé, thanks to an excellent balance between performance and running costs. It was produced until 1980 in 26,108 units. Relatively less rare than the smaller-displacement sisters, they are still difficult to find in good condition and original condition.

The car was recently restored and is in excellent condition.
The painting was done to perfection and there are no scratches or traces of rust on the bodywork.
The interiors have also been restored; the seats in pearl gray velvet show no signs of wear, providing the passenger compartment with a diffused brightness.
The instrumentation, original and completely overhauled, is also in perfect working order.
The engine was recently overhauled and some parts replaced and overhauled, starting without delay and there is no loss of power when revving.
The Alfetta GTV 2000L is today an object extremely appreciated by connoisseurs of the Arese brand, able to satisfy even the most demanding of collectors.
