The MK2, also known as the Mark II, a luxury car produced by Jaguar from 1959 to 1967.
It is a fast, spacious and seductive car designed by Sir William Lyons, the founder of the British car manufacturer.
This car represents a great commercial success for Jaguar, especially because despite being a high-class car, the price was accessible to everyone.
It is said that the ring road of London, where mainly the bourgeoisie of the capital lived, was called "Jag Belt" for the large number of Jaguars that met.
This car was offered in different engines, the smallest had a displacement engine of 2,483 cm³ (2.4 L), the average instead of 3,442 cm³ (3.4 L, 210 hp) and the most powerful had a 3,781 cm³ ( 3.8 L, 220 hp), similar to that used on the E-Type.
They say that the MKII became the favorite car for the British bad guy in those years, even though it soon entered police cars as well. The thugs were frightened as soon as they saw that one of these cars was chasing them, and they were prompted to stop immediately.
Thanks to its beauty and elegance, this car remains one of the most fascinating iconic models of the last century.
