Descendant of the "Miura", grandson of the "Countach" and heir to the "Diablo", the sports sedans that made Lamborghini history, the "Murciélago" updates - respecting tradition - a way of building supercars that can only be found in land of Emilia.
As for the technique, from the ancestors, the latest born of the Toro takes the position of the engine (V12, 6.2 liters, 426 kW-580 hp), mounted longitudinally in the center, the bodywork with advanced cabin and the doors that open towards the top.
Even in the passenger compartment there is a typically “Emilian” air: the wide sill, the low ground clearance and the doors certainly do not help in the entrance, in full Lamborghini style. On the other hand, once seated in the driver's seat, you appreciate the steering wheel adjustments, which allow you to carve out a tailor-made space.
The embarrassment remains for the voluminous central tunnel, which houses the transmission, and for the gear lever, rather high, and above all for the lack, at times, of the "room to maneuver" for the elbow. Impeccable, however, the finishes.
As for the dynamic behavior, given that the "Murciélago" can move well even on the street, to explore the limits of this "Lambo", in addition to a "handle" accustomed to such cars, a place not too crowded is needed: the our Vairano track, for example. Once these two "problems" have been solved, one cannot but be amazed by an engine with an apparently infinite progression and excellent traction guaranteed by four-wheel drive and good weight balance.
